School Level Scholarships (MSS)

Empowering Rural Minority Students Through Educational Access

Introduction

The School Level Scholarships for Minorities (MSS) is a targeted financial assistance scheme launched by the Foundation for Social Care (FSC) to support meritorious Muslim students enrolled in secondary and senior secondary schools across Lucknow and surrounding rural regions.

Recognizing that early-stage financial constraints often hinder educational continuity, MSS ensures retention, motivation, and academic excellence among underprivileged students.

Objective

To ensure that bright, underprivileged Muslim students—especially from rural and low-income backgrounds—are not forced to abandon their education due to financial hardship.

Key Features

Governance & Oversight

To ensure transparency and community alignment, a dedicated Scholarship Committee was constituted in 2005, comprising respected philanthropists and educationists from Lucknow.

Strategic Impact

MSS reflects FSC’s vision of inclusive education by:

“A child retained in school today is a citizen empowered tomorrow. MSS was designed with this belief at its heart.”
