Founded in early 2001 by the Foundation for Social Care (FSC), Al-Farooq Public School (AFPS) in Karpi, District Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh was established to empower rural children through value-based education. The foundation stone was laid by Maulana Mohammad Farooq Khan on 14 March 2001, and the first batch of students began classes in July 2002.
