Introduction

Launched in July 2000, the Scholarship Programme of the Foundation for Social Care (FSC) became a landmark in academic upliftment. This initiative was built to support financially constrained yet meritorious students—especially from minority and marginalized backgrounds—so they could pursue professional education and national participation with dignity and opportunity.

Purpose & Philosophy

Scholarship Streams

1. FSC Loan Scholarships (FLS)

Monthly support for UG & PG students pursuing professional courses.

2. Nama Scholarships (NSS)

Primarily merit-based assistance for top-performing candidates.

3. Sadbhavana Scholarships (SBS)

For socially backward groups and underserved districts.

4. School Level Scholarships (MSS)

Focused on school-going students from the lowest-income segments.

5. Special Scholarships for Gujarati Students (SSG)

Regional equity-based outreach initiative aimed at Gujarat.

6. Overseas Scholarships & Research Aid

Future-facing support for higher research and global access (in planning).

Selection & Execution

The Committee of Scholarship Programme (CSP) oversaw selection, disbursement, and review. Activity centers were set up across cities such as Delhi, Lucknow, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, and Jaipur for outreach.
